Maura
Mitchell,
the founder and managing partner of Brandology, is a marketing veteran with over fifteen
years of packaged goods and technology experience.
After receiving her MBA from Stanford University in 1987,
she joined Pillsbury, where she held progressively larger
assignments within the Refrigerated Products Division.
Her biggest accomplishment was launching a new cookie product,
Shape Center Cookies, on the fastest timetable in the history
of the division.
One snowy day in June, Maura left Minneapolis to lead
Nestle Beverage Company's key initiative, the geographic
expansion of Hills Bros Coffee. Subsequently, Maura was
promoted to Business Director in charge of Nestle Beverage
Company's $500 million ground coffee portfolio.
After 7 years in packaged goods, Maura applied her skills
to technology marketing at Electronic Arts. She spearheaded
Electronic Arts' launch on the 3DO platform and became
Director of Marketing for EA SPORTS video games.
She was lured back to packaged goods by Quaker Oats/Golden
Grain, where she turned around the Rice-A-Roni/Pasta Roni
business, delivered the three most profitable years ever
for the brands, launched a series of successful branding
initiatives for Near East, and became the division's second
in command.
In 1999, Maura founded Brandology in the San Francisco
Bay Area.
